Apple Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows Vista

This website talks about Apple’s new OS X copying features from Windows Vista. Just cos Toyota and Honda have sterring wheels does not mean that they copied the idea from BMW or Benz. Somethings are just common for GUI interface and neither Microsoft nor Apple can be at fault of plagiarism here.

Sometimes I wonder how Apple CEO Steve Jobs can sleep at night. He appears to spend half his waking hours ridiculing Microsoft’s admittedly behind-schedule operating system, Windows Vista, for copying Mac OS X features. But this week at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), he announced ten new features for Leopard, the next version of OS X, most of which will seem more than vaguely familiar to Windows users. I’m not dim: Microsoft does copy Apple on a fairly regular basis. But seriously, Steve. Apple’s just as bad.

I have not see the Mac OS in speculation here but I am using Visa since beta 1. First time users might say it’s just a pepped up version of XP and doesn’t really do much. But you get used to working in Vista and you would find that your old Win XP machine has just become totally unusable. Of course, I certainly agree with you that Vista is pushing up the hardware requirement specs through the roof. But hey, Intel has got to sell chips too :)
